Why should I join the BSU?

Joining the Black Student Union means becoming part of a legacy — one rooted in culture, leadership, and impact. It’s a space where you can celebrate Black history, challenge injustice, grow as a leader, and build community with people who uplift and inspire. Whether you're looking to make change, find belonging, or leave your mark.

"When I first joined the Black Student Union, I did it because it looked good on paper. But what I didn’t realize was that I had just walked into something that would change me forever. The BSU is home now. And it’s because of you all. You all showed me what it means to move through the world as Black individuals with pride, with confidence, with unshakable power. You all didn’t just teach me history—you made me feel it. You made me see the beauty in Black culture, in Black resilience, in Black joy. You showed me that being Black is not just an identity; it is a legacy, a force, a gift that I will carry with me for the rest of my life."
